ChatGPT leads with SEB, Gemini with Revolut Business, Perplexity with Handelsbanken, AI Mode with Nordnet and AI Overview with Avanza. Five engines, five different number ones: visibility here is engine-specific, not absolute.
Comparison sites shape the answers
The most-cited domains are independent guides: konsumenternas.se (326 citations) and borskollen.se (279), the top source in 16 of 42 slices. AI's answers about banks lean on third-party comparison content as much as on the banks' own sites.

We run 120 prompts through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, once a day for 5 days, and record every brand mentioned and every URL cited in the answers (3 000 responses per industry).
For August 2026 that gave us 3 000 responses in the banks category, collected over 5 days from Swedish-language prompts in a Sweden locale.
Visibility score is the summed mention share of a brand across the responses in a slice. Citations count every time a domain is cited in an answer; unique URLs counts the distinct pages behind those citations.
