1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Vercite AB, reg. no. 559550-9984, Sweden ("Vercite", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the websites and applications we make available at vercite.io and aibrandtracking.com (the "Service").
This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more generally, including the legal bases on which we rely.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — including local storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits — perform comparable functions. In this Policy, "cookies" refers to all such technologies.
Cookies may be:
- First-party (set by us) or third-party (set by a provider we use);
- Session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted.
3. Your Consent and Legal Basis
We distinguish between two categories:
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required to deliver the Service you have requested and to keep it secure — for example, maintaining your login session, routing traffic, and protecting against fraud and abuse. Under the ePrivacy rules as implemented in Sweden (the Electronic Communications Act) these cookies do not require your consent. For any associated personal data we rely on the performance of our contract with you under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for session and login cookies, and on our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for security and anti-abuse cookies.
All other cookies — including analytics, performance measurement, and any functional or marketing cookies — are placed only after you give your prior consent. We obtain consent through the cookie banner presented when you first visit the Service. Non-essential cookies are not set before you consent, and declining does not prevent you from using the Service.
For consent-based cookies, our legal basis for any associated personal data processing is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
4. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time, with the same ease as giving it, by:
- selecting Cookie preferences in the footer of our website at vercite.io, which reopens the consent banner (your choice applies across vercite.io and the application); or
- clearing or blocking cookies through your browser settings.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Blocking strictly necessary cookies through your browser may cause parts of the Service to stop working.
We will seek fresh consent where our cookie use changes materially.

Note on analytics. Where our analytics provider processes personal data outside the EEA, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism (see Section 6). We configure analytics to minimize the personal data collected, including IP address truncation or masking where the provider supports it.

Other third-party technologies
These do not always set cookies, but they involve a request to a third party that discloses your IP address:

Because the support chat loads only when you explicitly request it, the cookies it sets to deliver that service are strictly necessary for the service you requested and do not require prior consent.
Web fonts are served from our own domain and do not involve a request to any third party.
6. Third Parties and International Transfers
Some cookies are set by third-party providers who act as processors or, in some cases, as independent controllers for their own purposes. Where a provider processes personal data outside the EEA, we transfer that data either to a country the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection — including, for certified U.S. providers, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework — or on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, supported by a transfer impact assessment where required.
Where a third-party provider acts as an independent controller, its own privacy notice governs its use of the data, and we encourage you to review it.
Our current providers, including those associated with cookies, are described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy and in our sub-processor list.
7. Cookies and the Monitoring Service
Cookies described in this Policy relate to your use of our websites and application. They are separate from the monitoring data the Service collects from third-party AI and search platforms on our customers' instructions, which is described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
8. Your Rights
Because cookie data may constitute personal data, the rights described in our Privacy Policy apply — including access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, "IMY").
Complaints about cookies and similar technologies specifically may also be directed to the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (Post- och telestyrelsen, "PTS"), which supervises the cookie rules under the Electronic Communications Act.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The current version is available through the Service and shows the effective date above. Where changes materially affect the cookies we use or the basis on which we use them, we will present the cookie banner again and seek fresh consent where required.
